October 31, 2023: In a joint initiative by Brahmaputra Community Radio Station, Barbaruah Tea Estate Management, and BFFSR&LP, on the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a triumphant Breast Cancer Awareness Program unfolded on October 31, 2023. Hosted at Barbaruah Tea Estate, the event aimed to enlighten and empower women within the tea garden community about breast health. The program, featuring interactive sessions, a quiz show, and a dedicated radio narrowcast on breast cancer, delivered crucial information on early detection and self-examination techniques. 

Healthcare professionals from Dibrugarh Cancer Center played a pivotal role in disseminating this knowledge. The event's success highlights the potency of community-driven health initiatives. Future endeavors include regular health camps and sustained radio broadcasts, illustrating the transformative impact achievable when communities, organizations, and healthcare professionals unite for a shared purpose.
